I first encountered Ches Smith via Tim Berne's Sanke Oil. In October 2023, I found him again, live with Ceramic Dog. This album grew on me QUICK! An unbelievable amalgamation of talent and expression.

This record feels really fresh. The blend of various dreamlike textures, rhythms and overall flow of ideas is very captivating all the while never feels overloaded. It is somewhat like a daydream. Really a satisfying listen and a meaningful discovery to me!
